The right service depends on what you need removed and how much of it you have. Regular, weekly pickup works for everyday trash, bulk pickup or drop-off works for larger single items, and roll-off dumpsters make more sense for cleanouts, remodels, or larger projects.
Before You Set It Out
KC Disposal handles everyday trash, recycling, yard waste, bulk items, and project debris through different service options. A quick check now can save you from setting out the wrong item.

What Goes Where
Pickup & Drop-off Options
KC Disposal offers different ways to get rid of what you don’t need. Some items belong in regular pickup, some need recycling, some require bulk pickup, and others may be better handled through our bulk drop-off or dumpster service.
Before setting items out, check the service connected to your address. Pickup rules can vary by city, route, and service type.
Bulk Item Disposal
Large items usually need a different service than regular trash. Furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other oversized items may require bulk pickup or drop-off instead of standard curbside service. We are happy to pick these items up, please contact the office for pricing and availability.
If you are clearing out more than a few items, a roll-off dumpster may make the most sense. A member of KC Disposal can help route you to the right option based on what you need removed.
Recycling & Yard Waste
We can take plastics 1 – 7, cardboard, and tin cans in the recycling. We cannot take plastic bags, styrofoam, or glass in the bins. Recycling is unlimited every week so please put loose items inside the bin. If you have extra please put the boxes broken down flat no larger than 3×4 foot sections to the side.
Recycling should stay separate from regular trash. Keep food, liquids, and bagged trash out of the recycling cart so you can handle accepted materials correctly.
Yard waste has its own rules for disposal and pickup, and they can vary by city. Please check your city under service areas for exact information for your area, or by giving us a call here in the office.
Items We Cannot Accept
Some items cannot go in a cart, dumpster, bulk pickup, or drop-off load because they create safety or disposal issues. We cannot take propane tanks, paint, oil, dirt, rock, concrete, car parts, construction materials, batteries, or hazardous materials in our trash bins.
Do not set out hazardous, flammable, liquid, or restricted materials. If you have questions about what’s acceptable, give us a call.
