KC Disposal service guidelines help you know what to set out, where to place it, and when to check for special instructions. Because service can vary by city and service type, this page gives you a simple place to start before pickup.
Service Basics
Pickup Basics
For regular pickup, place your bin where it can be easily reached. For safety, keep lids closed when you can, leave space around the cart, and set items out according to your city’s service rules.
Schedules & Holidays
Pickup schedules can change around holidays, weather, or route updates. Check your service details before pickup day so you know when to set everything out and when we’ll collect.
The holidays we close for are as follows: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This will only change your service day if the holiday falls on a weekday; then services will be delayed by one day. If the holiday falls on a weekend, there will not be a delay.
What Not to Toss
Some items cannot go in regular trash, recycling, yard waste, or roll-off dumpsters. Before setting out large, heavy, hazardous, or unusual items, check the disposal requirements for your service.
Missed Pickup Help
If your pickup was missed, let KC Disposal know through the missed pickup form. Our team uses that information to review the issue and route your request to the right place.
